Ah, eclipse season. Welcome. This is the part of the ride that suddenly goes really fast. We get turbulence and twists, high contrast moments of bright and dark, light and shadow. This is the part of the year where we all get in line with the nodes and things start to accelerate! Jump! Shift! Shake! Zoom! Weee!
And what an opening act. A Total Solar Eclipse in Leo?! Why heavens, you have taste! Ah yes, we do, say the heavens.
The Sun (our center, our purpose, our core) and Moon (our habits, our inner world, our emotions, our dreams) are coming into such perfect alignment, the shadow of their movements softly graces the earth and the world goes topsy turvy: day into night into day. This is a profound time for inner reflection, as it is also a profound time of change.
Eclipse energy is a wild storm, and that means there’s really no need to do anything. The invitation is always to go within, back to center and allow. Dwell there a while. Just be in it. Feel, breath, perceive, breath, notice… breath…
Here in Leo, we are noticing what it feels like to be seen. When we lead, when we create, when we are brave. There will be joy here, and there will be shame. And while conjunct the South Node (the tail of the dragon and the cosmic release point), we have an opportunity to take note on what needs to be decluttered.
Performative versions of you? Out. Lumpy ego habits? Bye bye! Never not needing validation? See ya! Unproductive pride.Later alligator.
Situations and opportunities will stir these next six months that will have you working on these themes. The cosmic effort here is to engage a total realignment of the heart and reveal a more authentic and glowing glow-up of you.
How will you recognize that person emerging? Leo says, why, listen closely to your heart. When it feels joy, it will rawr. Let it! Or at least, in the beginning, let it meow.
If eclipse energy is a storm, totality is the eye of the storm, when all grows quiet enough for you to really listen. Listen for that meow, even if it’s really deep deep down. It’s how we’ll know where to go when things settle back down.

This Moon is not playing with nary one of us.
Where are you ready to just drop the act? Big boisterous fictional reports on how well we’re doing are not the look THIS season.
The first person you must be honest with is yourself. How kind are you to yourself when you allow the big bad to be faced? Heavy? Yes. I do apologize and the big light is on at the moment. This is all of us, dolls.
Please don’t be afraid to name what needs to be seen for your highest self. Once you name what needs attention it loses a hold on your psyche.
Maintaining a posture of acceptability when you’re hanging on by a thread is rough stuff.
Admitting defeat is allowed.
The best strategists understand not all conflicts are able to be “won” in a traditional sense. But perhaps skewing our view a bit, we can allow our relationships with material and nebulous loss tobecome the loam soil needed for our intended gardens.
This New Moon feels alchemical to me. It feels like taking disparate parts and cobbling them together to make an entirely different WHATEVER.
It’s okay to allow past pain to inform your present. I hope you use the compost of your experience to feed your present. We deserve such things.
